ONLINE SECURITY: At Keystone Nazareth Bank & Trust (KNBT), the confidentiality and protection of customer information is one of our fundamental responsibilities. We encourage you to practice good security habits to ensure that your privacy and personal information are protected. Identity theft is one of today’s most serious “non-violent” crimes. KNBT wants to make you aware of some of the methods that criminals are using to gain unauthorized use of your personal financial information for the purpose of identity theft, or other illegal action. One of the most recent forms of identity theft is called “Phishing” – which occurs when Internet “pirates” send fraudulent emails, disguised as being sent from a legitimate business that you may recognize, in an attempt to obtain your personal information. The email directs you to click a link or visit a website, where you are asked to update personal financial information such as passwords, credit card or bank account numbers, social security numbers, etc., for fraudulent use. Please be advised that representatives of KNBT will never call you or send you an email to solicit a response containing personal or private information. However, in accordance with the U.S.A Patriot Act, when you call KNBT, visit our branches, or submit an online application, we will ask you to confirm some information to verify your identity. This is for your protection. Safeguarding Your Privacy… Note: When you click on any of the links below, you will be leaving KNBT’s website. If you receive a suspicious, unsolicited phone call or email claiming to be from Keystone Nazareth Bank & Trust asking you for your account information or other personal financial information, please do not comply with the request. Contact KNBT immediately at 1-800-996-2062 to confirm whether or not the communication is legitimate. |
